Eligibility Criteria
Assistant Professor (AP): Qualifying the UGC NET makes candidates eligible for applying to AP posts in Indian higher education institutions.
Junior Research Fellowship (JRF): Qualifiers become eligible for research fellowships offered by universities/colleges/institutes.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree or equivalent with at least 55% marks (for General/EWS) and 50% marks (for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Transgender).
Final-year postgraduates can also apply provisionally.
Recognized subjects include but are not limited to: Political Science, History, Education, Law, Management, Computer Science, Commerce, Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Environmental Science, and over 80 other disciplines.

For Assistant Professor:
Entry-level salary: Rs. 57,700 – Rs. 1,82,400 (Pay Level 10)
Includes Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Travel Allowance (TA)
For JRF Qualified Candidates:
Rs. 31,000/month for initial 2 years
Rs. 35,000/month after evaluation (for next 3 years)
Contingency grants and HRA applicable as per university norms
